The Mahabharata is the oldest and longest epic poem of all Sanskrit texts and perhaps all known ancient texts, it could be described as the Iliad or Odyssey of the East. It is a philosophic text that portrays the nature of human consciousness at its very best and worst, every character contains darkness and light within them.
